Pradosham means the removal of sins. Pradosham is Trayodashi day. There are two Pradosham days in a month. One in Krishna Paksha and another in Shukla Paksha. Pradosham times are the windows of opportunity to remove Karma or Karmic energies that limit our potential in this current life. When Trayodasi happens on a Saturday, it is observed as Shani Pradosh or Shani Trayodasi. Shani Deva is one among the Nava Grahas. People beleive that, those who worship Shiva during the great sacred time of Shani Trayodasi (Pradosh time) will free them from the results of all the sins.
