TEMPLE ACTIVITIES IN FEBRUARY 2011

There are no major activities that will be celebrated at the Temple during the month of February.

The next event at the Temple will be Maha Shivrathri that will be celebrated at the Temple on March 3rd (Thursday), 2011 starting at 6:30 pm. Devotees interested in participating in Sri Shiva Abhishekam during Maha Shivrathri can do so by donating $101. Additional details will follow.

REGULAR MONTHLY EVENTS IN FEBRUARY

Sri Balaji Abhishekam

February 5th (Saturday) 10:45 am - 12:30 pm

During the Abhishekam, Vishnu Sahasranama Stotram is recited. Please bring fruits, flowers and a gallon of milk if sponsoring the Abhishekam for $101.

Sri Siva Abhishekam

February 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th (every Monday) 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Please bring fruits, flowers and a gallon of milk if sponsoring the Abhishekam for $101.

Sri Satyanarayana Pooja:

February 18th (Friday)

Sri Satyanarayana Pooja is performed at the Temple on Poornima (full moon day). Please bring flowers and fruits if sponsoring the pooja for $101.

ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS

Food Sponsorship Program: CHANGES EFFECTIVE 01.01.2011

Due to the involvement of Volunteer Groups who have stepped forward to cook food at the Temple on Sundays, we will no longer charge a donation for food served at the Temple on Sundays. We will continue to charge a donation for major events at the Temple due to the costs involved. Please contact any of the food committee members if interested in 1) Sponsoring food for any Sunday at a cost of $250 2) Interested in Volunteering to cook food at the Temple 3) Interested in purchasing items for food preparation.

We thank the Donors who have contributed to 1) Purchase of 2 new Water dispensers (Bharti Sharma) and 2) Purchase of new Pots and Pans for the Kitchen (Raj and Radha Chanderraj).

Temple Kitchen Upgrade:

We have begun the process of upgrading the existing Kitchen to a Commercial Kitchen. If you would like to donate funds to this cause, please contact the Treasurer Virender Sanwal at 285-5430. Our goal is to raise $10,000 towards this improvement.

Temple - 10th Anniversary Celebrations:

This year will mark the 10th Anniversary since the Temple opened its doors to the Community. We are planning on a number of activities to celebrate this event. We look forward to your participation and support to make the 10th Anniversary Celebrations a Success. Details will be sent out once the dates (April / May 2011) and events are finalized.
